Question:

During a home inspection a significant drop in water pressure was observed when multiple faucets operated simultaneously. The dishwasher, washing machine and the kitchen sink were running when I turned on the shower, the pressure in the kitchen dropped. Just wondering what the cause may be and if there is potential for more than a moderate fix?

Answer:

Were you running just cold water or hot and cold? Sometimes an older hot water heater may accumulate a lot of mineral deposits and cause a loss of pressure to a fixture if multiple faucets are on.
