Plumbing Question 90

February 3rd, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

Question:

I have a closed radiant infloor heating system that is supplied with a 40 gallon electric hot water tank. I don’t believe the tank is really big enough to heat the amount of floor space I have. My question is rather than buying a bigger tank would it be ok to increase the tank temperature settings.

Answers:

I don’t recommend you do that. By doing so, you would void the manufacturer’s warranty and cause the heater to break-down prematurely.
