Question:

My Price Pfister tub/shower faucet sprays the shower even when it’s not “on.” We were told to have the handle no more than 12 inches away from the spout, but we still have the problem. Solutions?

Answer:

Not sure what you mean by having the spout 12″ from the valve. If the water is not shutting off, try removing the handle and trim from the faucet and then shut the stem off with a wrench. If it goes off, the valve was roughed in to far into the wall, (deep) and you need stem/handle extensions in order for the valve to work properly.
