Plumbing Question 25
Question:
A couple of weeks ago starting to get woken up in the early hours by what can only be described as “water filling.” Very similar to the noise of toilet cistern filling after flush, but not as long (5 to 10 seconds).
Plus it seems to be coming from downstairs (kitchen area). Can’t see it being linked to heating as it is not on around 4am to 6am which is when it occurs. I have no idea what it can be. House is only 4 years old, so hoping nothing major.
Answer:
One of your toilets is in need of a new flapper. These can be purchased for $3.00 to 15.00 depending on your model toilet.
