Question:
My kitchen faucet keeps randomly shutting off immediately after I turn it on. After that, I have to wait some arbitrary amount of time before it will work again (I’ve never been patient enough to find out how long it actually takes). I must add that this affects only one temperature of water at a time, though it’s usually the hot water. I am usually able to use the cold (or hot) water even though the other side has stopped working temporarily. What’s going on?

Remove the cartridge in the faucet and replace it.
