Plumbing Question 179

Question:

We are installing a separate tub and shower and I have been looking at
fixtures. I wanted to know if I bought a set for the shower that includes a tub spigot can it be installed without the tub spigot or do I have to buy the “shower-only” sets? I ask because the shower only sets are more expensive and I can’t find one in the style to match the one on the separate tub. Thanks so much!

(by the way, I am looking at the Fontaine Chrome Bathroom Tub and Shower Set
from Overstock.com)

Answer:

I always recommend Moen or Price Pfister whenever possible. These are two companies that I trust to honor their warranties. Yes, you can buy a tub/shower combo. The plumber can put a plug in the tub oulet.
