Question:
We have 2 bathrooms and everytime we turn on the cold water, the water will run cold, and then extremely hot for about 20 to 30 secs, then back to cold again. It only happens when you first turn on the water. But it happens everytime, even if there is only a 5 minutes break between turning on the water. Our house was built in ’85, we have 2 water heaters, and this does not happen in our kitchen. Our electric bill is through the roof, but our water bill isn’t bad at all, and no fluctuations. Could this be contributing to our high electric bill? Any ideas on how to fix it? Thank you for your time.
Answer:
Your electric bill could be high if you have electric water heaters. The problem could be that the water heaters may be set too high or set unevenly. Have a plumber check it out for you.
