Question:

How do I size a hot water heater for a house?

Answer:

Depending on the city, state and/or country, every plumbing code is different for sizing fixtures for a home. Generally speaking, if you have one to two bathrooms, a 40 gallon tank should be sufficient. Three bathrooms or a big family, and you would be better off with a 50 gallon tank.
