For years whenever we flush the toilet someone gets burned in the shower. This week we found out our outside water line has a leak and has to be replaced. Can we fix both problems at the same time? Will installing a 1 inch pipe instead of the standard 3/4 inch pipe help with this problem? If not, is there anything that will help?

You can change the shower valve to a Moen Posi-temp valve which will regulate the temperature to within plus or minus 3 degrees.
