Question:

A plumber reinstalled a float in my toilet bowl. The filler valve is
splashing partly into the overflow tube, and partly into the tank. Should i worry about this? The plumber won’t come back and fix it.

Answer:

No, don’t worry as long as the tank fills up and the float shuts off you should be ok. A lot of fill valves fill from a tube hooked to the flush valve, but also fill the inside of the tank from a second outlet at the base of the float. Also, Any licensed Plumber is required to take care of a callback equal to the time spent on the original job or you can file a complaint with the State Contractors Board.
