Plumbing Question 112

Question:

I have a La Toscana thermostatic shower unit. Supposedly one can adjust both the temperature and the flow with the knob. I contacted the mfgr because the water NEVER gets warm enough and the flow is paltry even both the temp and flow are set at the MAX. The mfgr said yes there is a way to adjust both temp and water flow but they wouldn’t tell me how because it’s designed to conserve. I’m in favor of conservation but would like to have the option to make the water hotter on these cold days. Any ideas?

Answer:

Most thermostatic valves are preset for a specific temperature range. There should be a limit stop under the handle that you can adjust.
